Green Lantern Rumored For Justice League

Green Lantern Rumored For Justice League

One member obviously absent from any mention of the Justice League movie happens to be Green Lantern, which is most likely a result of the failed 2011 Green Lantern movie starring Ryan Reynolds.

While Ryan Reynolds will not be returning to the Green Lantern role, a new reboot is happening with the planned Green Lantern 2020 film.

Now it is also being said a Green Lantern will be appearing in the Justice League movie. The info comes from The Wrap, but they don’t know much else other than a member of the Green Lantern Corps will appear, which could mean Hal Jordan, John Stewart, Guy Gardner or any other member (how about Mogo?!) .

Green Lantern in Justice League Speculation:

We can speculate that since Man of Steel introduced aliens to Earth, that the human members of the Green Lantern Corps (Hal, John, Guy) have been off planet. Justice League sees more aliens come to Earth with Steppenwolf and the Parademons; so it’s probably safe to assume members of the Green Lantern Corps return to Earth as it’s their duty to protect the sector. Another possibility is that the Green Lantern Corps has been wiped out and the remaining corpsmen come to Earth to warn the heroes that something is on its way (and join the Justice League).

Henry Cavill’s Superman has been said to return/be involved in the final Justice League movie battle, so assuming the Green Lantern appears at the end, that’s when we’ll see the fully formed Justice League.

“Justice League” has a November 17, 2017 release directed by Zack Snyder starring Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon and Willem Dafoe an Atlantean, Nuidis Vulko.

Synopis:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
