The Godzilla vs. King Kong movie now has a director!
It’s noted no plot details are presently known, but Legendary and WB do have a writer’s room for their new monsterverse which kicked off back in 2014 with Godzilla and continued most recently with Kong: Skull Island; up next is the Godzilla sequel with Godzilla: King of Monsters. A Kong Skull Island TV series is also in the works.
The Godzilla writers room includes: Terry Rossio, known for co-writing the Pirates of the Caribbean movies; Patrick McKay and J.D. Payne (Star Trek Beyond), Lindsey Beer, Cat Vasko, Maze Runner movies writer T.S. Nowlin, Jack Paglen (Transcendence) and Babylon 5 creator and comic book writer J. Michael Straczynski.
Godzilla vs. King Kong has a May 22, 2020 release.
