The new Japanese Godzilla: Minus One movie is now out in the United States and the fans absolutely love it.
Pay attention, Hollywood.

The CinemaScore is the best reception ever in the Godzilla non-English franchise and is on par with Godzilla vs. Kong‘s “A” CinemaScore.
It’s also better than both the 2014 Godzilla and Godzilla: King of the Monsters (B+).

“The best film”
“GODZILLA MINUS ONE is the best film I’ve seen since God only knows when,” tweeted comic book artist Ethan Van Sciver. “It is terrifying. Godzilla is a force of nature that evokes all of the anxieties of real disasters, terrorism, war, and possible nuclear war. He is an absolute menace. And it all feels real.”
Van Sciver continued, “This is the MONSTER that has always existed in the margins of all of the other Godzilla films, that nobody has been able to pull out before. You’ve never believed it before, but you will.
“Our human characters…you’ll care for them. They may even make you cry. The cost of war on the biggest, but most fragile of hearts is depicted here, and bravery is the armor that fearful and imperfect men must put on to defend them,” he said.
Van Sciver added, “Who knew a GODZILLA film could do this? A+++++++++ and two thumbs up.”
