Godzilla 2 will begin filming this Summer.
According to a casting website, Godzilla 2, titled Godzilla: King of Monsters, will begin filming on June 19th in Atlanta, Georgia.
Michael Dougherty is directing Godzilla 2 and co-writing along with Zach Shields. The duo previously worked on Krampus for Legendary, and Dougherty is also known for Trick ‘r Treat.
Millie Bobby Brown, known for Stranger Things, has also been cast in a role.
Godzilla 2 will also be filming in China.
Godzilla: King of Monsters has a March 22, 2019 release and follows Kong: Skull Island leading into a Godzilla vs. King Kong crossover in 2020.
The 2014 Godzilla movie directed by Gareth Edwards netted over $529 million.
