Following Captain America 2: New Ratings Low For Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. “Turn, Turn, Turn”

In what has to be looked as a complete shocker, following a lead in from last week’s episode as well as being heavily promoted as tieing into Captain America 2, last night’s episode of Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. saw a ratings series low.

Early estimates have “Turn, Turn Turn” coming in at under 5 million viewers – a series first – with 4.91 million.

Likewise, the rating for the popular 18-49 demographic is a series low with a 1.7.

It’s possible the final numbers could be adjusted up by a couple of hundred thousand or so, which would probably still give this episode the series low.

ABC is replaying the episode next week as part of a two-parter, with an all-new episode airing Tuesday in the 9pm ET timeslot.

Looking at the ratings numbers below, it seems the month-long break from February to March has really taken its toll on the series.

ABC has yet to announce a renewal for Season 2.

Update: Final ratings show the numbers up a bit with a 1.9 and 5.37 million viewers (still a series low).
