A few days ago saw it reported that the DCEU The Flash movie starring Ezra Miller is to start filming early next year, and now the information appears to be confirmed.
Today saw the news that a Supergirl movie is in development, which confirmed The Flash will start production February 2019.
The previous info stated the same start date noting directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein would film in Atlanta, Georgia, and it was also said the movie has the working title “Flashpoint.”
Deadline report with the Supergirl news: “Starting production in February will be The Flash starring Ezra Miller, with Jonathan Goldstein & John Francis Daley (Game Night) directing.”
The Flash movie has also been said to have dropped the DC Comics “Flashpoint” dark storyline in favor of something lighter and comparable to Robert Zemeckis’ Back To The Future.
The rumored cast for The Flash has also been said to include Ray Fisher as Cyborg (who was previously a part of an older script), Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Billy Crudup as Henry Allen, and Kiersey Clemons is said to be returning from her deleted Justice League scenes as Iris West.
Ezra Miller first appeared as the DCEU Scarlet Speedster in a cameo scene in Batman vs. Superman prior to being featured in the Justice League movie.
WB has yet to announce the release date for The Flash, but as we move closer to the February 2019 start of filming additional information and casting will become known.
