Amazon MGM Studios has started production on Madden, with Nicolas Cage taking on the role of legendary Raiders coach and broadcaster John Madden.
Cage and Bale Take the Field
The first official image shows Nicolas Cage transformed into Madden, alongside Christian Bale as Raiders owner Al Davis. The film, directed by David O. Russell, centers on Madden’s career from Super Bowl-winning coach to iconic voice of football. Russell wrote the screenplay, revising an earlier draft by Cambron Clark.
Amazon also recently revealed a first look at Nicolas Cage in the upcoming Spider-Man: Noir live-action series.

Along with Nicolas Cage and Christian Bale, the cast also includes:
- John Mulaney as Electronic Arts founder Trip Hawkins who launched the Madden video games
- Kathryn Hahn as Virginia Madden

Madden is currently in production, with no release date announced.
