Dredd TV Series Concept Art, Poster & Karl Urban In Talks

Judge Dredd is returning as a TV series, and Karl Urban confirms he is in talks to star!

Rebellion, the company that publishes the 2000AD Dredd comics, is developing the Dredd: Mega City One TV series along with IM Global, which has said to be big budget!

Now a Dredd: Mega City One poster and two pieces of concept art have debuted (see below).

Regarding Karl Urban returning to the role which saw him star as the titular character in the 2012 Dredd movie, Urban recently told Trek Movie he would love to play the character again:

I am in discussions with them about that. I told them that if they write the material and give Dredd something to do and give him a function, I will be there. I would love to.

And Dredd: Mega City One producer Jason Kingsley also tells IGN:

We have been in discussions with Karl about his possible involvement in Judge Dredd: Mega-City One for some time. These conversations continue but we’re keen, he’s keen – it’s just a case of us making sure this show is everything we want it to be.

“This needs to be done right – the fans deserve it. Our team is working hard on scripts for the first season, creating engaging multi-thread storylines, one of which will be Dredd’s but others which take us into the wider world of Mega-City One.”
