Luc Besson returns to theaters this summer with Dracula: A Love Tail, his take on the classic story by Bram Stoker. The trailer just dropped, and the film hits cinemas in French-speaking Switzerland on July 30, 2025.

A New Setting for an Old Monster
Besson shifts the Dracula narrative from Victorian England to Belle Époque Paris. The film follows the infamous vampire as he becomes fixated on a woman who looks like his long-dead wife, Elisabeta—mirroring the original tale where Dracula sees his lost love reincarnated centuries later.
Zoë Bleu plays both roles, Elisabeta and Mina. She’s the daughter of Rosanna Arquette and was last seen in Le Grand Bleu.
Cast
- Caleb Landry Jones plays Count Dracula
- Christoph Waltz is the vampire hunter
- Zoë Bleu takes on the dual role of Elisabeta and Mina

Besson on Casting Jones
Besson says the role of Dracula was written specifically for Caleb Landry Jones after the two worked together on Dogman in 2023. He praised Jones as “folly talented,” comparing his presence to Gary Oldman. He also called him kind, low-maintenance, and a joy to work with.
