The BBC has released the trailer and preview images for Jodie Whittaker's final episode of Doctor Who as the actress departs the show along with showrunner Chris Chibnall.
"This is the day you die…” teases the video description. "The Thirteenth Doctor faces the forces that mass against her in her final adventure. Autumn 2022."
The footage teases that the Jodie Whittaker Doctor Who faces off against the Daleks, the Cyberman, and The Master, with Mandip Gill's Yaz, and John Lewis' Dan joining her one last time.
It's also learned that Janet Fielding and Sophie Aldred, who played companions of the Doctor back in the '80s are returning for the episode, as Fielding played Tegan Jovanka opposite the Tom Baker and Pater Davison Fourth and Fifth Doctors, respectively, while Aldred played Ace alongside Sylvester McCoy's Seventh Doctor.
The BBC also announced Russell T Davies is returning to take over as showrunner which marks the 60th Anniversary of Doctor Who, and outgoing showrunner Chris Chibnall recently revealed that Davies will be ignoring his run with Whittaker as the Doctor.

Having faced many perilous journeys battling some of the most feared monsters throughout space and time, it’s the final installment for the Thirteenth Doctor. This epic blockbuster special will see the Doctor fight evil across the galaxy one last time but just who will she come up against in her final battle before the Doctor regenerates once more… "
