Deadpool Christmas Special Jokes About Henry Cavill Superman

The Deadpool Christmas Special is released which features Ryan Reynold back as the Merc With A Mouth who teams with Kidpool and Lynda Carter for charity. The humorous clip, shared on Reynolds’ social media and YouTube, features Deadpool and his sidekick, Kidpool, delivering presents and seeking assistance from Carter to raise funds for The Hospital for Sick Children.

That’s not all as Reynolds pokes fun at DC including Henry Cavill who he featured in a cameo role as Wolverine in Deadpool & Wolverine. Reynolds also mentions Ben Affleck’s Batman.

The video begins with Deadpool and Kidpool discussing their mission to “eliminate sick kids,” which Deadpool clarifies as eliminating sickness by encouraging donations. Recognizing their R-rated personas may not be suitable for all audiences, Lynda Carter shows up to help. Carter makes a grand entrance, and when asked to perform her iconic Wonder Woman spin, she transforms not into her superhero costume but into an “ugly” Christmas sweater adorned with a golden bow. Deadpool humorously blames this on “the DC lawyers,” adding a meta-commentary typical of his character.

“The DC lawyers, I knew it,” says Deadpool. “Yeah, it’s probably the same guy that got Cavill. And that other Batman.”

This initiative is part of a charitable effort where Ryan Reynolds and his wife, Blake Lively, have pledged to match all donations made before December 24th, up to $500,000, to support the SickKids Foundation. The foundation is dedicated to improving children’s health through research, clinical care, and compassionate programs. Donate here at sickkidsfoundation.com.
