While promoting the release of the upcoming Creature Commandos animated series, Alan Tudyk drops a bomb and reveals a mystery secret character he is playing in the show, which is in addition to Doctor Phosphorus.
It has also been said that Tudyk has a secret live-action role in James Gunn’s Superman movie, so it’s possible the role could be the same.
Gunn has said the voice actors for the DCU are also playing their live-action counterparts. Frank Grillo happens to be featured in Superman, Creature Commandos, and Peacemaker Season 2 as Rick Flag Sr.
Who is Alan Tudyk playing?
So the big spoiler comes in an interview with the cast of Creature Commandos. Alan Tudyk tells Rotten Tomatoes he is also voicing none other than Clayface in Creature Commandos. He also happens to voice Clayface in the Harley Quinn animated series and its Kite-Man spinoff.
“I play actually Clayface in this series,” said Tudyk as the cast turns their head in his direction.
He continued, “So I play Clayface in Harley Quinn and ‘[Clayface voice] he sounds like this and he’s an idiot’ and he’s always like ‘[Clayface voice] what’s what’s my, you know, what’s my motivation here Daddy didn’t love me.”
What are the Clayface Creature Commandos details?
Alan Tudyk also teased this new version of the Batman villain.
“In this, Clayface is a killer. We have a huge fight. He’s a homicidal maniac,” he said. “So it’s the same character. That’s what’s great. That’s really cool about DC, I get to play the actual same character two completely different ways.”
He continued, “I like them both. It’s really nice that James let me play Clayface. I was so happy. I didn’t even have to ask, I was going to ask. Then I saw it in there. He let me know that I got to do it.”
Regarding the Superman movie, with the surprise revelation Alan Tudyk is voicing Clayface in Creature Commandos, that could also mean Alan Tudyk might be playing the live-action version. Of course, it’s entirely posibly Alan Tudyk is also playing a different character for Gunn in Superman.
