Back when the news came about that James Gunn is directing Suicide Squad 2, Dave Bautista said that he wants to be involved, with rumors offering he might have been up for a role.
With Gunn getting rehired, it seems Bautista is sticking around Marvel playing Drax (with it thought his Suicide Squad role is going to fellow WWE superstar John Cena), but recently on Twitter saw a fan comment that Dave Bautista would make a great Bane.
The actor saw the tweet and responded with an enthusiastic, “I accept!”

Back in October of last year also saw fans offer that Dave Bautista would make a great Bane, as the following fan art hit the net.
Regarding Dave Bautista’s Suicide Squad role, it was said to be for Peacemaker, but maybe if John Cena is now playing Peacemaker, that leaves room for Bautista to play Bane?
James Gunn starts filming on The Suicide Squad soon for its August 6, 2021 release date starring Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, with Idris Elba in talks for a role, and David Dastmalchian cast as Polka-Dot Man.
