It’s reported Sony’s The Dark Tower movie is getting its release date pushed back.
According to EW.com, The Dark Tower will be released one week later, now on August 4th.
It’s said The Emoji Movie has now taken the July 27, 2017 release date.
It’s also further reported that The Dark Tower trailer should be released any day now.
Regarding the reason for the switch, it’s said Sony wanted to give The Emoji Movie more Summer screen time as the younger audience is off from school, which wouldn’t much affect The Dark Tower.
The Dark Tower is directed by Nikolaj Arcel also starring Katheryn Winnick as Laurie Chambers and Jackie Earle Haley as Sayre.
Gunslinger Roland Deschain roams an Old West-like landscape in search of the dark tower, in the hopes that reaching it will preserve his dying world.
