Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 apparently used a Hasbro Marvel Legends toy prop during production, which now adds another strange wrinkle to the Disney+ MCU show.
Word comes from Dan Yun on X, who works for Hasbro as a Marvel Legends marketer. Yun posted an image of the Daredevil: Born Again Marvel Legends roleplay helmet and billy clubs and said, “fun fact – we sent samples of this item for Daredevil Born Again Season 2 – fun to see them for key episodes.”
So apparently, Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 didn’t just inspire a toy. The toy made its way back into the show.

Hasbro Sent Samples For Season 2
Fans in the comments noticed it, too.
One fan wrote, “OH MY WAS IT IN IT i remember one guy got knocked out and the mask looked really good and i thought hey thats kinda like the marvel legends one.”
Another added, “I knew that had to be the case when watching last night. That’s awesome!”
To be fair, the toy does look cool. It’s a solid Marvel Legends roleplay item. Still, the idea that an MCU Disney+ show used Hasbro toy props during filming is wild.

Finale Also Faces Backlash Over Karen Page Fight Scene
The Season 2 finale is also getting slammed online over a fight scene involving Karen Page.
In the episode, Karen takes down an AVTF guard wearing body armor, including a vest and helmet, while armed with an assault rifle.
Fans are calling out the scene because Karen is shown beating up a trained combatant who looks to have at least 100 pounds on her.
The show previously had Daredevil train Karen for what amounted to a few minutes, and now she is suddenly capable of taking out armored men in combat.
That has not gone over well.
The scene adds to the criticism that Daredevil: Born Again is pushing characters into action beats that don’t feel earned. Karen has always been a major part of Daredevil’s story, but fans aren’t buying her suddenly dropping trained soldiers like she’s been doing this for years.

The MCU’s Disney+ Problem Gets Worse
The backlash comes as Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 continues to struggle with viewership. To date, none of the new episodes have charted on Nielsen’s streaming rankings.
Luminate numbers have also shown a major drop, with around half the audience bailing compared to the first season.
Disney has already made it clear the MCU is cutting costs after flooding Disney+ with Marvel content.
But this makes it look even worse.
The MCU used to be sold as premium blockbuster entertainment meant to match its films, even on streaming. Now Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 apparently had scenes using Hasbro toy props.
The toy looks cool. That’s not the problem.
The problem is Marvel leaning on consumer products for production. It makes the whole thing feel cheap. And of course more MCU girl-power. Worked out for The Marvels.
