Not only do we find out what happens after Batman Vs. Superman with the fate of LexCorp, but now Zack Snyder reveals details on the death of Robin, which took place before Batman Vs. Superman.
In the following video, Snyder reveals to IGN that the death of Robin took place ten years before Batman Vs. Superman at the hands of a young joker.
In my mind it was that Robin died about ten years earlier during some run-in with a young Joker, and that was intersting to me, sort of a fun back story to play with. I felt like the whole idea was that there had been loss and there had been sacrifice. In a weird way he sacrificed everything to be Batman. He doesn’t have a life outside the cave. I thought by including Robin – a dead Robin – was helping us understand that he’s been on quite a little journey.
There is actually an intersting theory being floated around that the Jared Leto Joker in Suicide Squad is from a scene in the past, and that Batman has since killed the Joker. Rumors also previously hit the regarding Red Hood.
