Zack Snyder’s UFC movie “Brawler” looks to have a new title, as IMDb now lists the project as Brawlers.
The change follows a casting notice from April that first used the Brawlers title, suggesting the rename is legit and not just a typo.
The movie is still listed in pre-production, with no cast announced as of yet.

IMDb Now Lists The Movie As Brawlers
IMDb has updated Zack Snyder’s UFC movie from “Brawler” to Brawlers.
That lines up with the April casting call, which first surfaced using the Brawlers title. At the time, it looked like a possible title change. Now with IMDb using the same name, it looks like Snyder’s movie has officially moved away from the singular “Brawler” title. More on possibly why below.
The story is described as following an LA fighter who climbs the UFC ranks toward championship glory, showing the path and personal history behind becoming an elite mixed martial arts fighter.

Production Companies Still Include Stone Quarry And UFC
IMDb still lists Snyder’s Stone Quarry and UFC as production companies on Brawlers.
That keeps the project in Snyder’s wheelhouse, with Deborah Snyder and Wesley Coller also involved as producers. Turki Alalshikh and UFC’s Craig Borsari are listed among the executive producers.
The writing team includes Snyder, Shay Hatten, and Kurt Johnstad.
Hatten previously worked with Snyder on the Army of the Dead franchise and Rebel Moon, while Johnstad has a long history with Snyder going back to 300.

Zack Snyder Recently Posted From The Paramount Lot
The title update also comes after Snyder recently posted an image of himself from the Paramount lot, captioning it, “Poking around the back lot in Hollywood as we start work on our new project.”
Snyder didn’t name the project, but the timing points heavily toward Brawlers.
As previously covered, Brawlers does not have an official distributor announced yet, but Paramount is easy to watch because of its UFC connection. Paramount already has ties to UFC, and UFC is part of TKO.
So while nothing has been officially announced, it seems logical Paramount could end up handling distribution.
Scott Adkins’ “Brawler” Makes The Title Change More Interesting
The timing is also interesting because Deadline reported today that Scott Adkins is making his directorial debut on a separate action-thriller titled Brawler, with Lewis Tan co-starring.
That movie is already shooting in the UK.
So the Snyder title change makes even more sense. Having two action/MMA-style movies called Brawler floating around at the same time would cause confusion. Snyder’s project moving to Brawlers helps separate the UFC movie from Adkins’ film.
