Captain America: Civil War is fast becoming the next Avengers movie.
In addition to the recent confirmation that Anthony Mackie will reprise as Falcon, now Scarlett Johansson has been confirmed as Black Widow for Captain America 3.
The film will also star Chris Evans as Captain America, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man and Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther.
Captain America 3 follows the Marvel Comics storyline of hero vs. hero due to the government wanting to register the identities of the super heroes. It's unknown how close the Marvel Studios movie will follow the comic book story, as obviously all the Avengers identities are just about known.
Anthony Russo offered the following in the video interview below:
"Captain America 3 is going to be called Captain America: Civil War, and it's going to star Chris Evans. Scarlett Johansson will be back. Winter Soldier will be back, and Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man will also be joining us in the next film."
Scarlett Johansson can next be seen as Black Widow in The Avengers: Age Of Ultron out May 1, 2015. Captain America: Civil War has a May 5, 2016 release.
