James Gunn has been fired from Guardians of the Galaxy 3 and Marvel Studios by Disney over tweets that resurfaced from ten years ago joking about pedophilia and rape.
Walt Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn released the following statement about firing James Gunn from the company: “The offensive attitudes and statements discovered on James’ Twitter feed are indefensible and inconsistent with our studio’s values, and we have severed our business relationship with him."
James Gunn has since apologized again for the tweets, and following his brother, Sean Gunn, and Dave Bautista taking to social media offering support, now Star-Lord actor Chris Pratt takes to social media as well quoting a bible passage.
