Chris Pratt Tells Infinity Gauntlet Story (Video)

Chris Pratt Infinity Gauntlet

Guardians of the Galaxy actor Chris Pratt recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel and told a couple of stories related to the Infinity Gauntlet, the comic book that inspired the MCU and The Avengers: Infinity War, and the glove that Thanos used to turn Star-Lord to dust in the movie.

Chris Pratt first explains how he came about getting a copy of Infinity Gauntlet, which was when he was around 13 years old. His buddies at the time collected Punisher and Wolverine, and getting a “#1” issue at the time was considered a big thing. Pratt says he went to bingo with his mom one day and ended up winning $300, all of which he put toward the purchase of comics.

This past December saw Chris Pratt’s brother, Cully Pratt, dig up their old box of comics, which included Infinity Gauntlet #1.

Chris Pratt the continues with mention he was at an MMA fight where the winner of the fight was put on an Infinity Gauntlet and pointed to him, as Chris Pratt happened to be sitting next to 50 Cent.

@prattprattpratt recently stated, “When I was twelve I won $300 playing bingo and bought a bunch of comic books.” Pratt writes in the caption. “I didn’t know much about comics except I wanted to buy a No. 1, because I knew that it would totally increase in value and one day I would sell it (along with my 86 Topps baseball card full set) for probably hundreds of millions and buy a private island. Anyways, in that stack of comics? ‘The Infinity Gauntlet.’ It had some scary dude named Thanos on the cover with a sweet sparkly michael jackson glove with all these shiny rubies and sh-t on it. Little did I know…” Little does @prattprattpratt know his brother @cullypratt held onto those 30+ year old comics & baseball cards & last night the old box was pulled out of storage. Looked at for the first time in over 20 years. That’s pretty awesome! #avengersinfinitywar #chrispratt #InfinityGauntlet
