Chris Hemsworth is gearing up for Avengers: Doomsday and took a moment to thank fans for supporting him throughout his 15-year run as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In a video posted to his YouTube channel (watch below), Hemsworth reflects on what the role has meant to him and teases what’s coming next as the MCU heads toward its biggest battle yet.
Previously, Hemsworth teased his training for his big MCU return.
“Playing Thor has been one of the greatest honors of my life. For the last 15 years I’ve held Mjolnir and then Stormbreaker as the God of Thunder, but what made it truly special… was sharing it with all of you. Your passion, your cheers, and your love for this character have meant everything to me. Thank you for making my journey through the Marvel Cinematic Universe unforgettable.. Next up, Doomsday!”

What about Thor 5?
The last we saw Hemsworth as Thor was in Thor: Love and Thunder, where he took on Gorr the God Butcher.
Per the official Marvel announcement and via above, we know Hemsworth will be back in Avengers: Doomsday and likely Secret Wars.
Thor 5 rumors: George Miller, less goofy, darker, Tom Hiddleston
There has been chatter about Thor 5.
It’s been said that George Miller, who directed Hemsworth in Furiosa, has shown interest in directing Thor 5, and that it was Hemsworth who set up the meeting between Miller and Feige.
It’s claimed to be going a darker and much less goofy route than Love and Thunder, and also that the little girl from Love and Thunder won’t be around.
It’s also been said Taika Waititi won’t be directing, and that Thor 5 could be a team-up between Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston back as Loki, who is also appearing in Doomsday.
Avengers: Doomday & Secret Wars Release info
The Avengers: Doomsday is currently filming in the UK. Joe Russo and Anthony Russo are back to direct.
Marvel Studios announced the release dates have been pushed back, with Avengers: Doomsday moving from May 1 to December 18, 2026.
