Bryan Singer looks to no longer be a part of the X-Men franchise as Singer and his production company have been fired by Fox Studios.
While the X-Men haven’t specifically been named, Fox Studios and Bryan Singer have departed ways over Singer’s latest movie, the Freddy Mercury flick Bohemian Rhapsody, as Singer reportedly disappeared from the set for three days.
According to Singer, he left the movie to take care of an ill parent, but there were previous rumors of erratic behavior by Singer on the film in addition to creative differences with star Rami Malek, and Singer is said to have previously disappeared from movies in the past.
The deal has been said to include a new Bryan Singer X-Men movie, which now looks to be not happening–at least with Singer’s involvement.
Bryan Singer most recently directed the pilot episode of the FOX TV The Gifted series.
The director first came on board the X-Men franchise with the 2000 X-Men movie.
