‘Black Widow’ Getting Disney Plus Release

‘Black Widow’ Getting Disney Plus Release

Marvel Studios has finally caved as Black Widow is announced to be getting both a Disney Plus and a theatrical release.

Black Widow, starring Scarlett Johansson, will be available starting July 9, but similar to Mulan and Raya and the Last Dragon, fans will have to pay for “premier access” on the streaming service.

While no pricing has been announced, the “premier access” cost is usually $30.

Marvel Studios also released a new Black Widow poster. See below.

Disney also announced Cruella starring Emma Stone will be released through premier access and in theaters starting May 28.

In addition, Disney announced a slew of updated theatrical release dates including that Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is now scheduled for Sept. 3, 2021 (from a previous July 9).

The Pixar animated movie Luca is skipping the U.S. theatrical release entirely and will exclusively be available to stream on Disney Plus, beginning June 18.

Ryan Reynolds’ Free Guy will now hit theaters on Aug. 13, 2021.

The King’s Man now gets released on Dec. 22, 2021.

Deep Water has a Jan. 14, 2022 release date.

Death on the Nile gets released on Feb. 11, 2022.
