‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ Thursday Box Office Falls Short Of ‘Doctor Strange’ 2 and ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’

The Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Thursday box office is in and it falls short of both the Marvel movies released this year with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse Of Madness and Thor: Love and Thunder.

The Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Thursday box office brought in $28 million.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse Of Madness brought in $36 million for its Thursday previews and went on to open to $187 million.

Thor: Love and Thunder brought in $29 million for its Thursday and went on to open to $144 million.

So as I said, it depends on whether or not the fans think the flick is any good if it will have legs, and so far, it seems the fans like it a lot.

Worth a mention is that the first Black Panther had a Thursday box office of  $25.2 million – lower than both DS2 and TL&T – but opened to over $202 million.

Estimates offer Wakanda Forever will open anywhere between $175 million to $200 million, so if Black Panther 2 can keep things up on Friday, Saturday and Sunday like the first movie did (see below) and not drop tremendously like Love and Blunder, things are looking good.
