Just in case you didn’t know: Sylvester Stallone is a part of Guardians of the Galaxy 2!
Sylvester Stallone is playing a well known Marvel COSMIC character (find out here), and now it’s learned he will be a part of the Marvel COSMIC Universe going forward.
“My plan is to see more of him,” director James Gunn tells the Toronto Sun. “I’m not sure about him appearing in Vol. 3, we’ll have to see about that, but it’s our plan to see more of Stallone. Kevin (Feige) and I are working on what is going to become of the Marvel Cosmic Universe and where it’s going to go. We plan to see the rest of them in the future. It’s my plan to have Sly — and I talked to him last night — to find a place for him in the future of the Marvel Universe.”
Good news!
I won’t go into specific spoilers regarding Sylvester Stallone’s character in Guardians of the Galaxy 2, but the “them” James Gunn is referring to could even be featured in their own movie! That would rock!
James Gunn recently confirmed he is writing and directing Guardians of the Galaxy 3 and also hinted at being involved with Marvel for ten years to come. In addition, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige recently hinted at the Marvel COSMIC Universe being a big part of the Phase 4 plans.
