The next time we’ll hear from Batman will be for the NBC Red Nose Day special!
Ben Affleck fills People in that while he won’t be dressing as Batman, he will be bringing a “stripped-down” version of the character to the show.
“I’m doing my Batman voice,” Affleck confirms. “No cowl — just the stripped-down, unplugged version. It’s a lot of fun. Batman is such a serious, heavy character, there is the temptation to be funny about it, or at least self-aware. I really enjoy it. Obviously it is a character that means a lot to a lot of people and I’m having fun playing it.”
The Red Nose Day special airs on NBC Thursday, May 25th at 10pm ET also featuring Mark Hamill, Jack Black, Orlando Bloom, Patrick Dempsey, Paul Rudd and more.
Ben Affleck next stars as Batman for Zack Snyder’s Justice League in November; the solo Batman movie is also in development from director Matt Reeves.
