It’s being reported that director Matt Reeves has cast newcomer Jayme Lawson in The Batman said to be a “notable” role of a character named Bella.

The Batman would mark Jayme Lawson’s first acting gig as her IMDb page is empty, as she is fresh out of Juilliard.

In a video now made private on YouTube, Lawson actually said she used to leap around the house pretending to be Catwoman, a role being played by Zoe Kravitz in The Batman.

Lawson also joins Robert Pattinson as the titular character, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon, Paul Dano as Riddler, with Colin Farrell said to be up for the role of Penguin, Andy Serkis as Alfred, Matthew McConaughey possibly as Two-Face, with rumors also offering additional villains, such as Firefly and Poison Ivy, are yet to be cast.

The Batman has a June 25, 2021 release directed by Matt Reeves, co-written by Reeves and Mattson Tomlin, with Michael Giacchino composing the music.

It’s claimed that Matt Reeves is in part adapting the DC Comics story “The Long Halloween,” with a rumored plot offering that the movie will explore a detective case where people start dying in strange ways so the Batman must go deep into the dark world of Gotham to find clues and solve the conspiracy and mystery connected to Gotham City’s history and criminals. It’s said that in the film all of Batman Rogues Gallery are already out there and active, similar to the DC comic book stories and animated movies.
