An Avengers: Secret Wars synopsis has landed online which offers the flick will feature Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man teaming with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool.
The description happens to line up with recent rumors Deadpool 3 directly connects to Avengers: Secret Wars and with rumors that Sam Raimi will be directing, who of course directed Tobey Maguire in the Spider-Man movies, and directed the MCU’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
The potential synopsis comes via the My Time To Shine Twitter account who also adds a description for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, which actually might be canceled.

Regarding Kang Dynasty, the Twitter account says “the 616 Avengers team fight the Council of Kangs and lose.”
It’s been speculated that Kang Dynasty will be similar to Infinity War, so according to the description, that does seem to be the case, and then things obviously lead into Avengers: Secret Wars, similar to how Infinity War led to Endgame.
Avengers: The Kangy Dynasty has a May 1, 2026 release date directed by Shang-Chi‘s Destin Daniel Cretton starring Jonathan Majors as the titular character.

What is Deadpool 3 about?
It has also been said the TVA, particularly Owen Wilson’s Mobius, has a role in Deadpool 3, where Mobius is hot on the heels of Deadpool who has been messing up the Fox Marvel timeline and the Multiverse, which leads to Deadpool meeting up with Hugh Jackman Wolverine, and others.
The Fox X-Men characters happened to be rumored including Patrick Stewart as Professor Xavier, Ian McKellan as Magneto, Halle Barry as Storm, with Channing Tatum as Gambit, and more.
With the Avengers: Secret Wars synopsis offering Tobey Maguire will be the leader along with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool, it could be possible we could see Tobey Maguire back in the MCU sooner.
Maguire appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home and returned to his own universe following a spell cast by Doctor Strange.
