It’s time to get out the champagne and celebrate because Evangeline Lilly is officially done with Wasp for The Avengers 4 reshoots.

The actress took to Instagram to announce the news.

“Guys….I’m done!!!!!! I’m going home!!” Evangeline Lilly posted.

Evangeline Lilly The Avengers 4

The Avengers 4

Last we saw of the Wasp was when she turned to dust in the Ant-Man and the Wasp post-credit scene. Scott Lang had just entered the Quantum Realm, which was at the moment Thanos performed the “snap, which then saw Hank Pym, Janet Van Dyne and Hope Van Dyne turn to dust, seemingly abandoning Ant-Man.

Obviously with Evangeline Lilly being a part of The Avengers 4 reshoots, her character comes back somehow, but it could always be possible that she is a part of some sort of post-death scene, for instance inside the Soul Stone or something similar.

Regarding how Ant-Man escapes the Quantum Realm is unknown, but fans think it has something to do with a Time Vortex which Ant-Man and the Wasp director Peyton Reed admitted was a possibility.

“Based on the science that we’ve set up in the first movie and this one, I won’t rule out the possibility,” Reed said, “because, again, we are dealing with a Time Vortex. That could happen.”

The Avengers 4 has a May 3, 2019 release directed by Joe and Anthony Russo and stars Robert Downey Jr., Josh Brolin, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Karen Gillan, Bradley Cooper, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Sebastian Stan, Chadwick Boseman, Don Cheadle, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright and Brie Larson.

The movie is a sequel to Infinity War where the Great Titan left the universe in shambles by killing off half the population including the Avengers. Now Marvel’s super heroes must suit up perhaps one last time to make things right by taking down Thanos once and for all.
