Annette Bening Joins Captain Marvel Movie

As Captain Marvel continues filming, it’s learned that Annette Bening has joined the cast of the movie.

The four-time Oscar nominee joins Brie Larson, with her role said to be that of a scientist.

Based on the Marvel comic character first appearing in 1968, the story follows Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races.  Set in the 1990s, Captain Marvel is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Set for release in the United States on March 8, 2019, Marvel Studios’ Captain Marvel is directed by the writing/directing team of Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck and also stars Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou as Korath, Lee Pace as Ronan, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, McKenna Grace, with Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson, and Jude Law as Mar-Vell.

The Avengers: Infinity War post-credit scene recently teased the arrival of Captain Marvel.
