Andy Serkis as the Penguin?Â
With it rumored that Oswald Cobblepot is the next big DCEU villain, fans have been taking to social media to offer up their choices.
Nick Frost and Josh Gad have already been mentioned, so how about the king of motion-capture himself, Andy Serkis?
Check out fan art below of the actor as the DC villain from Boss Logic, which looks a lot like the Danny DeVito Penguin from Batman Returns. Not a bad choice! Andy Serkis is known for a plethora of roles including Caesar in Planet of the Apes, Gollum in Lord of the Rings, Snoke in Star Wars, and his Marvel character Ulysses Klaue was recently killed off in Black Panther, so maybe there is room for him at DC!
The rumor has it that Penguin could either be the villain in the Matt Reeves Batman movie or possibly the Harley Quinn spinoff Bird of Prey film.

Oswald Cobblepot. Not exactly a name designed to shake the pillars of Gothamâs dark criminal underworld. Maybe itâs his other name that strikes fear into the hearts of citizens both good and bad: The Penguin.
This is a villain fueled by a pathological rage that compels him to turn his odd physique, bird-like profile and awkward waddle into a well-dressed force for fear. No one knows more about what the evil forces of Gotham are up to at any given moment than he and he uses that information to blackmail, intimidate and corrupt anyone he can, especially when itâs in the service of bringing down Batman.
They say you shouldnât judge a book by its cover, but they also say evil is as evil does. A master manipulator, the Penguin is usually surrounded by violent henchmen who do his bidding without question. But when it comes down to a face-to-face, expect him to unleash a deadly barrage from a variety of umbrella weapons and other ingenious devicesâoften taking the form of fowl. And when all else fails, the Penguin will fight as dirty as they come, hand to hand combat doesnât ruffle his feathers at all.
