It’s rumored that Ana de Armas is in talks for Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday which is set to see the return of Robert Downey Jr. to the MCU as Doctor Doom.
No details are known about Ana de Armas’ potential Marvel role. The info comes via scooper Daniel RPK who says the actress is in talks for an undisclosed role in Avengers: Doomsday.
Who could Ana de Armas be playing?
Some fans have theorized Ana de Armas could be playing a Black Widow variant, as she is played a similar character in James Bond and the upcoming John Wick spinoff, Ballerina.
Another Marvel character thrown out there is Cynthia Von Doom, the mother of Victor Von Doom, who Downey is said to be playing.
Ana de Armas could play Cynthia Von Doom in a flashback scene. In the comics, what is particularly interesting is that Cynthia has connections to Mephisto. A recent rumor just hit that Mephisto might be in Spider-Man 4. Well, Tom Holland is also rumored for Avengers: Doomsday, so maybe it all connects.
Recently also saw the announcement that Chris Evans will be back, with a rumor saying not as Cap but as Nomad. Hayley Atwell is also returning as Peggy Carter, so perhaps whoever Ana de Armas is playing is connected to them?
