Agents of SHIELD Posters Tease Agents of HYDRA

I hope you didn’t bail on Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD when they ended the Ghost Rider storyline because the LMD arc was just as good, if not better!

The last episode of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD was particulary good, which saw Skye and Jemma plug themselves into the Framework in order to find the rest of the members; however, what they found themselves in was a near Utopia as the Framework takes away your biggest regret and “fixes” your life.

Agent Coulson found himself not joining SHIELD and becoming a teacher; Mack has a daughter, a house and a family; Fitz appears to have become big tycoon and is with Simmons; Skye also found herself together with Ward, who happens to be “alive” in this alternate reality of the Framework.

The episode ended by revealing that May still works for SHIELD–or so we thought! The camera zooms out and revaels it’s not the headquarters of SHIELD, but HYDRA! Apparently, since Coulson never became an Agent of SHIELD, HYDRA must have taken over or simply evolved in to what SHIELD would have been.

The episode also ended with all the Agents in a state of bliss, including Skye and Jemma, who intentionally and knowlingly plugged themselves into the Framework. What happens next remains to be seen!

Now Marvel has released new Agents of HYDRA teaser posters questioning: “Ever wonder what past seasons of #AgentsofSHIELD would look like if they had taken place in the Framework’s alternate reality?”

Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD HYDRA returns Tuesday, April 4th at 10pm ET on ABC.
