The Acolyte has been canceled following only one season likely due to such lower viewership. It’s the least-watched Star War series on Disney+.
In a video posted to her social media, Amandla Stenberg said she wasn’t surprised by the cancellation and blamed a certain segment of Star Wars fans.

In response to the news of The Acolyte cancellation and Amandla Stenberg’s video, Ahmed Best came out in support of the actress.

Amandla Stenberg caught wind of the post and commented, “Awwww for love and light.”
On Wednesday, Stenberg said in part in her video: “I’m going to be transparent and say that it’s not a huge shock for me. For those who aren’t aware, there has been a rampage of vitriol that we have faced since the show was even announced, when it was still just a concept that no one had even seen it.”
In regards to John Boyega, the Finn actor welcomed Stenberg to the club with the scoundrel’s salute.
