Gina Carano no longer has a Twitter account as it apparently has been shut down and/or deleted.
When visiting her profile @ginacarano, Twitter states: “This account doesn’t exist.”
It’s unknown why the Gina Carano Twitter account is down, but it follows Thursday’s controversial political speech by President Joe Biden.
It also follows Gina Carano starring in the movie about Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, My Son Hunter, where the trailer was released just days ago from the right-wing site, Breitbart.
Update: Gina Carano confirmed on Instagram that she deleted Twitter: “I didn’t get banned from Twitter. I deleted it.”
Gina Carano fired from Star Wars because of social media post
The actress previously found herself in the hot seat involving social media back in early 2021 when she was involved with Disney Star Wars where she ended up getting fired from The Mandalorian and had her spinoff show reportedly canceled.
Gina Carano made a social media post comparing the treatment of the Jews in Nazi Germany to today’s political climate.
“Jews were beaten in the streets, not by Nazi soldiers but by their neighbors…. even by children,” her post stated.
“Because history is edited, most people today don’t realize that to get to the point where Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews,” the post said.
Carano ended up deleting the post, but as noted, it cost her the Disney Star Wars job where she played the popular character, Cara Dune.
At times, #FireGinaCarano would trend on Twitter to due her beliefs and posts, which includes questioning the use of masks and that Jeffrey Epstein didn’t kill himself, and when she addressed using pronouns and included “beep/bop/boop” in her Twitter profile.
“I’m not against trans lives at all. They need to find less abusive representation,” she wrote in a since-deleted tweet.
The Gina Carano Instagram page is still up.
“Did a cheeky little movie called #MySonHunter @mysonhunter.ig with one of my favorite people ever @lozzafox1,” Carano posted on Instagram a week ago about the My Son Hunter film. “The government, media & social media censored this story into oblivion so…we made it into a movie… Hope you enjoy the laugh. Keep shaking free of the tyranny. Directed by the one and only @robertdavi such a badass.”
