The She-Hulk post-credit during tonight’s first episode answers if Captain America Steve Rogers is a virgin.
Warning: Spoilers follow.
As seen in the released footage where Jennifer Walters and her cousin, Bruce Banner, are driving in the car, Walters is questioning if Captain America Steve Rogers is a virgin; however, things are cut short when they run into the spaceship and crash, which sees Walters infected by Banner’s blood where she becomes She-Hulk.
Well, during the episode (full review here), Banner talks about both Tony Stark and Steve Rogers and how they were all together in Mexico, and fast forward to the end of the episode, following the credits, there is a She-Hulk post-credit scene, and it answers if Captain America is a virgin.
Thanks Kevin Feige for the Captain America virgin answer
Before we dive into the answer, She-Hulk writer, producer and showrunner, Jessica Gao, revealed her pitch to Kevin Feige regarding the question if Captain America is a virgin.
“We just started putting it in scripts. There used to be a season-long runner where the thing that is constantly gnawing away at Jen is this question of whether or not Steve Rogers had ever had sex,” explained Gao to Variety. “You just regularly see her like googling it, talking about it. You got the sense that she was just constantly pestering people in her life, this question that was burning away at her soul. I can’t describe to you how thrilled and shocked I was that not only was Kevin on board with answering the question, that he supplied me with the canon answer.”
Gao confirms that, yep, the answer came straight from Kevin Feige.
“Yes, that is straight from Kevin’s golden mouth,” she said.
She-Hulk post-credit scene
Back to the She-Hulk post-credit scene, which has already leaked online, it shows a scene with Jen and Banner in Mexico where the two have been drinking.
“Steve Rogers did so much for his country, and he never got to experience sex,” Walters cries. “Did you see that ass? That ass did not deserve to die a virgin [hiccups]. It’s like so sad.”
The Hulk responds, “Steve Rogers is not a virgin. He lost his virginity to a girl in 1943 on the USO Tour.”
“Yes! I knew it,” Walters says in relief.
“You’re not drunk?” questions Banner.
“Captain America!” Jen triumphantly yells as she spreads her arms wide open in the air as the scene cuts out with her yelling “Fu-!”
So there you have it. Captain America is not a virgin, and judging from the above image from The First Avenger of the USO Tour girls, we know why!
Fun fact: In Captain America: The First Avenger, the “Autograph Seeker” girl Steve talks to while going on tour is played by Laura Haddock who also plays Star-Lord’s mother in Guardians of the Galaxy 1 and 2. Coincidence?
