Good news for fans of the Superman & Lois TV series airing on The CW network as it’s learned Jonathan Kent is a different version than the woke iteration in the DC Comics.
DC recently came out and announced its Jonathan Kent is gay, which is a change from the original plans to have Jonathan Kent in a relationship with Jenny Sparks/Quantum of the Authority.
So we see DC Comics changed things for the sake of promoting the woke agenda which sacrifices quality story for a politically correct-driven agenda that has destroyed the content.
Regarding the Jonathan Kent version in Superman & Lois, the actor who plays the character, Jordan Elsass, said that while it could be a possibility, his version is different than the DC Comics version and that Jonathan Kent in Superman & Lois will be straight:
“That is the comic version of the character,” Elsass told ComicBook, suggesting it’s unlikely any of that story would end up in the show. “This character is a different Earth, it’s a different version. There’s always that possibility, but it’s looking like Jonathan Kent this version is most likely straight. We don’t even know if he has powers at this point.”
DC Comics destroying Superman
DC Comics also recently got rid of “Truth, Justice, and the American Way,” and replaced it with “Truth, Justice and a Better Tomorrow.”
In a statement to the press, DC Comics CCO and Publisher Jim Lee said the change in Superman’s motto was “to better reflect the storylines that we are telling across DC and to honor Superman’s incredible legacy of over 80 years of building a better world, Superman’s motto is evolving.”
Details for the gay Superman as officially announced by DC Comics include:
Just like his father before him, Jon Kent has fallen for a reporter. After initially striking up a friendship with reporter Jay Nakamura, he and Jon become romantically involved in the pages of SUPERMAN: SON OF KAL-EL #5 from writer Tom Taylor (DARK KNIGHTS OF STEEL) and artist John Timms (HARLEY QUINN). Following a scene where Superman mentally and physically burns out from trying to save everyone that he can, Jay is there to care for the Man of Steel.
