The Mortal Kombat reboot produced by James Wan has started filming.
The writer behind the reboot, Greg Russo, tweeted out the following image noting, “May the Elder Gods watch over us! #ITHASBEGUN.”
Lewis Tan, whose role is currently unknown, also tweeted, “Heads will roll…. #MortalKombat.”
The pic features Tan with Russo, Mehcad Brooks (Jax) and Joe Taslim (Sub-Zero).
Producer Todd Garner also teased, “See you all on the other side… also.”

Mortal Kombat underway
Mortal Kombat has a March 5, 2021 release directed by Simon McQuoid starring Ludi Lin as Liu Kang, Hiroyuki Sanada as Scorpion, Chin Han as Shang Tsung, Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade, Josh Lawson as Kano, Lewis Tan said to be playing new character, Cole Turner, Joe Taslim as Sub-Zero, Tadanobu Asano as Raiden, Mehcad Brooks as Jax, and Sisi Stringer as Melina.
The movie is based on the video game franchise that has sold millions of copies and has been confirmed to be featuring Fatalities.
