Watch: Avengers: Infinity War Color-Corrected Scene

While the Marvel movies come off as rather stellar, some aren’t too thrilled with the color filters used in the MCU films to make them look rather dreary.

James Gunn actually brightened up Guardians of the Galaxy 2 as a response to fan complaints, which is why the movie looks so good.

Back in 2016, actually saw a YouTuber post a video questioning why the Marvel movies look so ugly which went viral with over 2.5 million views, and now another YouTuber color corrects a scene from The Avengers: Infinity War

The scene features Iron Man, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange and the Guardians of the Galaxy on Titan right before their battle with Thanos.

The video starts off in the normal mode, but then shows how it “color corrects” and offers a brighter approach. Check it out below.

For a comparison, the same can be said for what Zack Snyder did with Henry Cavill’s Superman costume. Simply grabbing a free image editor like The Gimp and increasing the color hue-saturation can have quite a different effect and impact. Check out before and after pics below of The Avengers and Superman to see how the effect works.

I’ve noticed a lot of movies add some filter to darken the flicks up for some reason, which my eyes have to adjust to at movie theaters. Also while editing an article, I’ll often brighten or increase the hue so it looks better as a thumbnail image.

Regarding color correcting and brightening up The Avengers: Infinity War, I’m not sure it needed to be done as the movie was rather dark.
