Following Aquaman, it’s being reported that Warner Bros. is looking to get Justice League Dark and Batgirl on the big screen next for the DCEU.
It was previously reported that Zack Snyder had said Batgirl was next while at the China premiere for Wonder Woman as well.
Joss Whedon is also helping out on the Justice League movie, writing and shooting additional scenes, as Zack and Deborah Snyder stepped down following a death in the family.
Regarding the Justice League Dark movie, director Doug Liman recently departed the project, but now it’s being said It movie director Andrés Muschietti is being eyed to helm.
Details for Joss Whedon’s Batgirl movie include that it looks to feature Barbara Gordon and be on the darker side.
Up next for the DCEU is Justice League out in November and Aquaman for an October 2018 release.
Things for The Flash movie are apparently up in the air as a new director is being sought as well as a new script, and Ezra Miller’s schedule needs to be worked out. WB also has Matt Reeve’s Batman, Man of Steel 2, Gotham City Sirens, Suicide Squad 2 and Black Adam in the works, with eventual films for Shazam, Cyborg, Green Lantern and Wonder Woman 2.
