The Godzilla vs. King Kong movie gets a new release date, moving up a week from May 29, 2020 to May 22, 2020.
Legendary and WB officially kicked off their King Kong and Godzilla shared movie universe with Kong: Skull Island, which featured Mothra, Rodan and King Ghidorah references in a post-credit scene.
Up next is the Godzilla sequel, which is aptly titled Godzilla: King of the Monsters and hits in 2019.
A King Kong TV series has also been announced with King Kong Skull Island.
In an unrelated note, a Godzilla anime movie is also in the works from Toho.
WB also announce release dates for:
New Line Cinema’s comedy, Game Night, now has a February 14, 2018 release.
Jeremy Renner’s Tag movie gets a June 29, 2018 release, with the movie based on the real-life story of a group of friends who have been playing an epic game of tag that has lasted 30 years.
An untitled New Line horror movie has a September 7, 2018 release date.
Smallfoot, about a Sasquatch who believes in humans, gets released on September 14, 2018.
Isn’t It Romantic will have a Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2019 release.
A new Scooby Doo animated movie gets pushed back two years from September 21, 2018 to May 15, 2020.
