The Flash only has a few episodes remaining for Season 3, and we know the next episode features The Flash racing into the future to learn more about Savitar in an attempt to stave off the death of Iris.
Kreisberg reveals that the newly engaged Barry and Iris are back together again and are “rock solid” as “the quest to figure out who Savitar is and stop him from killing Iris becomes pretty much the main focus of the rest of the season.”
Kreisberg also says as those final five episodes unfold, there are twists both “scary and dramatic” as well “hilarious.”
The Flash returns Tuesday, April 25th at 8pm ET starring Grant Gustin with “The Once and Future Flash.” Here is the trailer and synopsis for the episode:
Synopsis:
Barry (Grant Gustin) travels to the future to find out Savitar’s still unknown identity in the hopes of saving Iris (Candice Patton). Upon his arrival in 2024, Barry encounters future versions of his Team Flash friends, who, following the death of Iris, have become very different people, profoundly impacted by their showdown with Savitar. It will be up to Barry to infuse a sense of hope back into the team, as he proves to be hero his future friends have been waiting for. Meanwhile, back in 2017, the hunt for Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker) continues. Tom Cavanagh directed the episode written by Carina Adly MacKenzie.
