Justice League Shuts Down The Dakota Access Pipeline

A few days ago saw the cast of the Justice League form together to become the Earth defenders bringing awareness to the dispute over an oil pipeline being placed in North Dakota on federal tribal lands.

Now the U.S Government and President Obama have halted the Dakota Access pipeline and asked the Texas-based company to “pause” action on a wider stretch held sacred by a Native American tribe.

The action follows a district judge denying a request to stop construction, notes the BBC.

It’s unknown whether the cast of the Justice League actually made a difference, but the video has been viewed on various social networks over 1 million times, including almost 500,000 views on Jason Momoa’s Instagram.

“Stay tuned. So proud. Bless. Praise ALOHA ALOHA. ALOHA. ALOHA,” Momoa posted when he learned the Dakota Access Pipeline had been stopped. “The blood of my blood. The godfather of my babies. We fight we bleed for what is right what is true.”

Jason Momoa is of Native American descent on his mother’s side.

“Justice League” has a November 17, 2017 release directed by Zack Snyder starring Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon and Willem Dafoe as an Atlantean.
