Star Wars: Rogue One has amassed a current worldwide gross of $615,934,691 at the box office with the bulk of the amount coming from the U.S. after being in theaters for only 12 days.

The U.S. box office thus far for Star Wars: Rogue One is a whopping $340,634,691, making up 55.3% of the draw.

Rotten Tomatoes has Star Wars: Rogue One at an 85% favorable ratings amongst critics, with 89% of fans stating they liked it.

BoxOfficeMojo.com also has Star Wars Rogue One:

• #4 best movie starring starring an action heroine
• #3 best prequel
• #4 best Star Wars film
• #7 top movie in the past year
• #5 best opening for a non-Tuesday opening
• #2 best single Monday gross
• #2 best Christmas Day
• #2 best opening weekend in December
• #3 best opening weekend for a holiday

Personally, I felt Star Wars: Rogue One was just “alight” and had wished they had come up with more of an original story instead of rehashing the “orphan” searches for the “master” with help of “Han Solo.”

I do have high hopes for Star Wars: Episode VIII.
