Obi-Wan Star Wars Movie May Film January 2019

Back in August saw Disney announce plans for a Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi movie.

Now it’s looking likely that LucasFilm will begin filming the Obi-Wan movie in London starting January 2019, which may mean the movie will get released in 2020.

The info comes from Production Weekly which has a listing for the Obi-Wan movie with a working title of “Joshua Tree” and also has Stephen Daldry (Disney’s Wicked, The Crown TV series, Billy Elliott) as the director.

It’s unconfirmed presently that Stephen Daldry is the director, but when the initial report hit the net about the Obi-Wan movie, it was said Daldry is in early talks.

It’s also unknown if Ewan McGregor will return as no plot details are known, and the script is probably in early stages of development.

Up next for LucasFilm is Star Wars: The Last Jedi next week, with Star Wars: Episode IX in the works; Han Solo has a May 25, 2018 release with other anthology movies said to be in development for Yoda and Boba-Fett.
