Bryan Singer May Have Proof That Refutes Sexual Assault Allegations

About two days ago it became known that a federal lawsuit has been filed against X-Men: Days Of Future Past director Bryan Singer alleging Singer sexually assaulted a 17-year-old boy 15 years ago.

Among the accusations was that Singer took the boy, Michael Egan, to Hawaii for sex.

Now it’s being reported by TMZ that Bryan Singer may have proof that refutes the trip to Hawaii as they state from a source that Singer wasn’t even there. According to the report, Bryan Singer might have been in Toronto for pre-production on the first X-Men movie.

It’s said the lawsuit alleges that rape and sodomy occurred two times on separate trips to Hawaii in August and October of 1999.

TMZ says they are told Singer will file credit card bills and various other documents proving he was actually in Toronto during the times in question.

Previously, Bryan Singer’s attorney also dismissed the lawsuit as an attempt at publicity by Michael Egan before X-Men: Days Of Future Past gets released.

“We are very confident that Bryan will be vindicated in this absurd and defamatory lawsuit,” said Martin Singer. “It is obvious that this case was filed in an attempt to get publicity at the time when Bryan’ s new movie is about to open in a few weeks.”

The ramifications of the scandal have already been felt as Bryan Singer cancelled an appearance at this weekend’s WonderCon for X-Men: Days Of Future Past and, reportedly, ABC has pulled promos with Singer’s name attached.

Michael Egan also addressed the situation in a press conference.
