About a week ago it came out that Marc Webb and Sony were looking for a dark and edgy Harry Osborn for Amazing Spider-Man 2, with three actors mentioned.
However, now it’s being said that Harry Osborn might be more of a jock, as the studio is apparently now looking for a Harry Osborn who is athletic and good-looking.
The latest names that are being thrown around for the “athletic and good-looking” Harry Osborn include Sam Claflin (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Snow White & the Huntsman); Eddie Redmayne (Les Miserables); Douglas Booth (Noah); Boyd Holbrook (The Big C, Hatfields & McCoys, The Host).
While I don’t see why you can’t have all of the above, I think we get the comparison they are trying to get across, but here’s the pic that THR chose to run with their article, dark, edgy, athletic and good-looking? The “Amazing Spider-Man 2” swings into theaters May 2nd, 2014 directed by Marc Webb starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Shailene Woodley.
