First Look At New Firefly/Serenity Comic Book From Dark Horse

It looks like Joss Whedon’s Firefly will live on in comic book form as Dark Horse has released a batch of teaser images.

They even noted on their blog that “Dark Horse is proud to be able to keep Mal and his crew flying with new comics and products.”

Dark Horse also reprints the Joss Whedon 2005 limited edition series, Serenity: Those Left Behind and related comics.

Firefly aired on Fox for only one season in 2002, but to huge audience acclaim. 2005 saw the Serenity movie air with fans never satisfied that the show was canceled early.

The series starred Nathan Fillion, Gina Torres, Alan Tudyk, Morena Baccarin, Adam Baldwin, Jewel Staite, Sean Maher, Summer Glau and Ron Glass.

A Firefly video game is also in the works, and Whedon is bringing Ron Glass on board Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. set for ABC this Fall.

Cosmic Book News reached out to Dark Horse for more info about the potential new Firefly/Serenity comic book series, but we may first get something coming out of this weekend’s Toronto Fan Expo.
