Wesley Snipes Rumored For Blade Reboot

This past Comic-Con saw Kevin Feige make the surprise announcement that a Blade reboot starring Mahershala Ali is in the works, with it now rumored to also feature Wesley Snipes, the original actor.

The Lords of the Long Box YouTube Channel claims that insiders are offering that while Wesley Snipes obviously will not be Blade, Marvel and Feige want to throw the fans a bone by including Snipes in the flick.

It’s claimed they want Wesley Snipes to play Dracula in the Blade reboot.

“They’re going old school. They are going like Tomb of Dracula #1,” TVO says. “First appearance of Dracula in the Marvel Comics.”

Wesley Snipes rumored for Dracula in Blade reboot

The rumor goes on to say that if Marvel can’t get Wesley Snipes to play Dracula, they want Giancarlo Esposito, which is why there has been that rumor lately of Giancarlo Esposito playing a Marvel villain.

The YouTuber says Giancarlo Esposito is not up to play Norman Osborn, which has been falsely claimed, but Dracula. It’s also said Giancarlo Esposito, known for Breaking Bad, is also up to have a role in Matt Reeves’ The Batman.

Interestingly enough, following the announcement of Mahershala Ali playing the new Blade, which received a lot of backlash, Wesley Snipes came out in support of the new Blade:

“To all the DAYWALKERS losing their minds right now, chillaaxx. Although the news comes as a surprise, it’s ALL GOOD. Such is the ‘business’ of ‘entertainment!’ Much peace to the MCU crew – always a fan. Honor and respect to the grandmaster Stan. Congratulations and Salaam to Mahershala Ali, a beautiful and talented artist whose expressions I look forward to experiencing for many years to come. Inshallah, we will someday work together. Most importantly to my loyal fans, the incredible outpouring of love is overwhelming. I am grateful for the never-ending support. So, ‘nah fret nah worry, it’s not de end of de story.’ Welcome to the Daywalker Klique.”
