Sonic 3: First Reactions Are In: Best In Trilogy

Ahead of the December 20th release, Sony has lifted the embargo and now the first Sonic the Hedgehog 3 reactions have hit the net.

As I have been going over, first reactions are always overwhelmingly positive, so bear that in mind. That said, the first two Sonic movies are pretty good. The third also adds fan-favorite character, Shadow, with fan-favorite actor, Keanu Reeves, so it seems unlikely they will screw it up.

What do the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 reactions say?

The first reactions for Sonic 3 hail the flick as the best installment in the trilogy and one of the greatest video game adaptations to date. They praise its electrifying action, heartfelt moments, and a tone that balances humor for younger audiences with a story aimed at young adults. Keanu Reeves delivers a powerful and emotional performance as Shadow, whose origin is handled with care, making it a highlight for longtime fans. Jim Carrey’s energetic dual roles are a standout, with comparisons to his classic Grinch performance. The vocal cast—Ben Schwartz, Colleen O’Shaughnessey, and Idris Elba—is celebrated as the perfect trio, anchoring the film. With stunning visuals, exhilarating set pieces, and surprises in the post-credits scenes, Sonic 3 is described as a heartfelt, hilarious, and action-packed adventure that surpasses its predecessors and leaves audiences thrilled.
